Football For All
In 2021 Ballinrobe Town AFC established a Football for All cohort to create inclusive football opportunities for people who may not ordinarily get a chance to play the ‘beautiful game’.
We support members of our community and beyond who want to play some ball, have fun and make some friends. As society is starting to understand more about Neuro Diversity, we as a club also began to realise that not all kids learn things in the same way.
We understand the potentially damaging impact this can have on young people if they begin to feel excluded or not equal to their peers. In Football For All our aim is to focus on the ABILITIES a child has rather than Disabilities or challenges and then tailor our sessions, approach, communication and equipment to help them participate in the fullest possible way.
We currently cater for
ASD, physical, sensory.
Intellectual or learning difficulties
We wouldn’t want turn anyone away so if you are unsure whether we can cater for your child just give us a call on 087 3565678
Facilities and Sessions
We run our sessions generally every second Sunday morning on the Astro pitch in Ballinrobe. It's secure, safe and accessible. Toilets and other amenities are located approx. 100 metres away. Click here to view map
